Chapel

Guys, chapel went well today! I didn't get the chance to tell you how much I enjoyed the music and your positive attitudes when you were up front. I know a lot of the other kids enjoyed it too, even though they didn't sing very loud. Next time, I'm not sure when we do chapel again or if it will be before Christmas break, but we were thinking one of you could speak and some of us could sing? What do you think?

Update For Everyone

A big thanks to Joshua and his parents for friday night! We had an awesome time with good food and and good worship and we were able to get a lot accomplished. We really missed everyone that wasn't able to make it there, but I'm hoping to get you caught up in the next 2 minutes as you read this.

Summary:

• Monday's during lunch time is the weekly meeting for the WWVA Leaders along with a couple of University students.
• Every week each leader will choose a faculty's name out of a hat to support and encourage.
• Bring names of students each week that need a "booster" or "pick me up".
• In charge of CHAPEL once every two weeks.
• Keep brainstorming possible names.

The Nitty Gritty:

We are really hoping that the Monday lunch time hour will work for everyone. This is a meeting where you guys will be able to plan for upcoming chapels as well as keep all the other side projects underway. Our first meeting will be tomorrow, and I will make the agenda to ensure a smooth and productive meeting. These are responsibilities we hope to pass on to you as leaders.

We want you to be thinking of students each week that might not be in the best spirits or might just need a little "pick me up" anonymous letter. Every monday at the beginning of the meeting we will talk about those students and divide them up between you to try and help them have a better week.

You will be in charge of Chapel once every two weeks. The first chapel will be on the 3rd, and Kandice will be speaking. In our meeting we will decide on music and anything else we need for it. We will also begin planning the next chapel.

We are also trying to come up with a name for this group. Keep thinking and we'll discuss this in our meeting as well.

Friday Update

We are going to have Friday Vespers at Joshua Brooks house at 5:30-8:30. The Brooks will make casserole but we need others to bring stuff.

The Options are:

Friday the 20th

We are planning on meeting Friday the 20th at 5:00-8:00. Many of you have confirmed that you can make it so it's looking like it will happen. I'll let you know where the location is soon. If any of you have some good ideas of where to have it, please give your input. I hope this can be a place where we can all come together to make us more effective and organized. Thanks!

SWAT Leaders,

I just wanted to welcome you to the website. It's pretty basic right now but as time goes on it will be full of content. I'm looking forward to this year and a chance to get to know all of you.
